Thinking is Suggested by God

"You are too logical, be careful."

It was quite surprising that such statement was told when you are not the most logical person ever existed. 

Why should one be careful of being logical? Because then one recognize the fundamental truth? and truths are sometimes rather scary than hopeful?

The conversation was brought while discussing religion and had slightly different perspective. The actual suggestion was actually vice versa. Observing, thinking, reasoning, and being logical is exactly what God has suggested to human being. And has been repeatedly reminded in The Book.

"... And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will think." (Quran 59 :12)

"Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth..". (Quran 3 : 190-191)

"Do they not contemplate within themselves?"  (Qur’an 30:8)

"Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think." (16:69)

Maybe because we have been expecting reality to be white when it has been grey all along. It is grey does not mean it is peat black. There is always a white shade somewhere. It might be scary, but there is always hope.

If the truth - recognized through the thinking process - is indeed scary, be strong and seek refuge to Him. Please remember that we are the creation that is granted the capability of critical thinking, therefore to create a change for the better.
